QLD:Budget delay to remember disaster heroes
Queensland's budget has been delayed for one week .. due to a clash with celebrations
of the heroes and volunteers of the state's flood crisis and cyclone.
The budget .. which was to be handed down on June 7 .. will be released on June 14.
The decision will allow MPs to participate in Queensland Week .. from June 4 to 13
.. when a series of events will be held in affected communities .. which will be able
to nominate their local heroes.
A commemorative medal will also be cast by the government.
