Fed: Australia to provide $15 mlln aid for East Timor and Indon
CANBERRA, Feb 26 AAP - Australia will provide more than $15 million to assist EastTimorese refugees and victims of civil and ethnic unrest in Indonesia, Foreign MinisterAlexander Downer said today.
He said $8.5 million would go to help the more than one million Indonesians displacedfrom their homes by conflict.
Another $6.6 million would go to help the 80,000 people who fled the violence in EastTimor in 1999 for refugee camps along the West Timor border.
