VIC: $500,000 reward on offer for police double murder = 2

Mr Comrie said the large amount offered by way of reward did not indicate police were
desperate for a breakthrough.

The reward certainly did indicate that a stage had been reached in the inquiry where the
investigators needed further public support.

Mr Comrie said the shootings were an attack on the whole community.

"The reason for this large amount is to send out a strong message to the community that
crimes against the state will not be tolerated and will be pursued to the maximum extent," he
said.

Insp Sheridan said investigators were appealing to any person to come forward if they had
any suspicions in relation to a person or group of persons who owned a Hyundai Excel three or
five-door hatchback.

Maybe they knew of someone who had access to a Hyundai Excel and perhaps the vehicle was no
longer seen about.

Anyone with information should contact the Homicide Squad or Crime Stoppers.
