Qld:Police injured after car hits power pole
It's been a bad night for police cars in Brisbane last night, with two damaged in separate
incidents.
Police say that shortly before 2am, officers responding to a call at Tarragindi, on
the city's southside, were cut off by a car which failed to stop.
The police vehicle hit a power pole and burst into flames and the two officers had
to be treated in hospital for minor injuries.
In another incident shortly before 3am, police tried to intercept a speeding car at
Wavell Heights but the vehicle mounted footpath and the driver jumped out while the car
was still moving.
It rolled back, hitting the police car.
A man is being questioned about the incident this morning.
